The Social Security Trust Fund will run out of money in 2032, if we fail to act.

If the Trust Fund runs out of money, all Social Security recipients will immediately have their benefits cut by 22%.

The Republicans have failed to take the steps necessary to protect this vital program that keeps tens of millions of Americans out of poverty.

We created Social Security Emergency Response to:

 

 - inform Americans about the perilous state of Social Security,

 - advocate for raising the caps on taxable income so that wealthier         Americans pay their fair share,

 - and to elect Democratic officials who will take action to preserve         Social Security for generations to come.
